Ricky Boadas' passion for cars has been there since he could remember being a little kid and playing on the rug with the cars. Even asking his older cousins to peel out every time they left his house.

Ricky likes both old school and modern cars, but he prefers the older ones. “There's something about vintage cars that aren’t perfect, that have some type of character.” He initially got into old school cars because they were cheaper than anything else, and it was different from what anyone he knew had at the time.

Old school cars are all different. Even perfectly restored cars, you still have to study them and learn how the car likes to be driven. The more you learn the car, the more you’ll likely enjoy it.

This is a taste that unites us a lot with Ricky and that fits perfectly with the Last Breyt philosophy. When it comes to a car, a motorcycle, even a bicycle, we always end up falling in love with old road irons. Perhaps not very reliable, with questionable performance and sometimes even a little dangerous. But so generous when it comes to conveying emotions.

Savage Datsun Z in Miami

Ricky had seen his Datsun when Riley Stair first started building it and he fell in love. He had always wanted a savage Z and that one was perfect to Ricky. He saw it about four years later on Instagram Live and he had to go after it. Ricky was back and forth with the owner for about a year before he finally sold it to him.

The Datsun is pretty much the same now as when Ricky bought it. Minus maintenance things such as new front and rear bushings, new steering rack bushing, new LS7 clutch and third set of tires in five months... Ricky really had a lot of fun during this time!

“The startup sequence is definitely an experience. Every time when starting the car, there is a sequence that makes you feel like you're in a race car. The raw feel of this car on the street is what I most enjoy about it. Open exhaust and raw metal all around, I simply love it. Though the car is perfect, I’m thinking some boost may be nice haha! Will it be too much?

Ricky also likes motorcycles, he has always enjoyed them. The R series BMW’s and old school café racers are his thing. His latest bike is a BMW R NINE T modified to look more café racer.

It doesn't matter with what ride Ricky Boada is cruising the hot roads of Miami. Whether aboard his roaring Datsun Z, riding the café racer, or the amazing Model A. The important thing is that he's doing it with a lot of style, character, and above all with a smile on his face!

'02 GM LS6-spec Gen III OHV all-alloy V8; fast 92mm intake and 92mm throttle body; SLP 85mm MAF; vengeance high-lift cam with chrome-moly pushrods; comp Cams trunion-upgrade rockers and dual valve springs with retainers; Melling high-volume oil pump; Walbro 255-lph fuel pump; 17-gallon fuel cell; fast 36-pound injectors; MLS head gaskets; ARP head bolts; dual 3" exhaust with fabricated 1 7/8-inch primary long-tube headers; MSD ignition wires; koyorad aluminum crossflow radiator; Flexalite e-fan; Optima Yellow top Battery; Twisted Images aluminum battery tray.

DRIVETRAIN

'02 GM-spec Borg-Warner T56 six-speed manual transmission, all synchro, R200 rear with welded stock 3.54 gears.

FOOTWORK & CHASSIS

Ground Control coilovers, camber plates and lower control arms with adjustable TC rods; Koni coilover race inserts; polyurethane bushings.

BRAKES

Wilwood four-wheel-disc conversion with slotted and cross-drilled 12" rotors, four-piston front, dual-piston rear calipers; stainless steel lines.

WHEELS & TIRES

15x8.5" -72 front, 15x10" -38 rear Work Meister CR01 wheels; 225/50R15 front, 235/50R15 rear Kumho Ecsta (street), Toyo R888 (track) tires.
